I recently vacationed to Oceanside, California. Before leaving from my hometown, I made the intention to “unplug” as much as possible, only checking my email and Facebook once in a while. Little did I know that my destination would conspire to make sure that happened. Upon arriving, I found that my device obtained very little 3G and the wi-fi in our rental was very poor. Honestly, I found myself stressing a little. I really don’t travel much, but would like to more often. When I do get the opportunity to see new places or experience new adventures, I’m reminde
d of how small I am in comparison to the wonderful place called earth. I recently had a quick trip to the tiny community of Wolf Creek, Montana… you’d seriously miss it if you blinked going by on the interstate.
The drive was mostly flat up until about 30 minutes from Wolf Creek, and then it seemed that the mountains rose up all around us. Cliffs, trails, rivers and creeks, tunnels, old railroad tracks, deer, big horn sheep…the beauty of nature and the evidence of the efforts of humans to co-exist in this beautiful place.
I have been through over a year of extreme transformation. I certainly am not the same person, vibrationally and physically, that I was when I started. It seems that only those who go through the same journey understand what the transformation means. I am definitely grateful that I attracted this journey into my life.
Every morning I have this ritual of saying positive affirmations out loud and setting my intentions for the day, and a short meditation usually follows. Sometimes this ritual will last for 15 minutes, sometimes I’ve taken over an hour. It depends on my gut feeling and my internal energy. Some days I’m feeling so grateful and happy, and other days I’m searching to find any sort of feeling at all.
For some reason this morning, I started stating what it was that I didn’t want to happen today. I think I’ve done this many times and haven’t always noticed. My mindset was on clarifying what it was that I did want. I wanted to get to the specifics and in the process of determining what I wanted I went into a frenzy of exactly the opposite. [Read more…]
