Every morning I have this ritual of saying positive affirmations out loud and setting my intentions for the day, and a short meditation usually follows. Sometimes this ritual will last for 15 minutes, sometimes I’ve taken over an hour. It depends on my gut feeling and my internal energy. Some days I’m feeling so grateful and happy, and other days I’m searching to find any sort of feeling at all.
For some reason this morning, I started stating what it was that I didn’t want to happen today. I think I’ve done this many times and haven’t always noticed. My mindset was on clarifying what it was that I did want. I wanted to get to the specifics and in the process of determining what I wanted I went into a frenzy of exactly the opposite. [Read more…]
